Featured in the XXIX Compasso d’Oro ADI exhibition, the Special Edition showcases Glamora’s contribution to the research and evolution of Italian design
A place for research and dialogue between different design cultures, MAXXI in Rome — the National Museum of 21st Century Arts — has always championed contemporary art and architecture.
From 6 to 30 October 2026, its galleries will host the XXIX Compasso d’Oro ADI exhibition, bringing together the projects selected for the 29th edition of the historic international design award.

Among them, Madama Butterfly Collection offers a reflection on the role of surfaces in shaping the character and atmosphere of interiors.
The collection was selected for the ADI Design Index in 2024 as one of the finest expressions of Italian design. This recognition celebrates an approach in which culture, material experimentation and artistic sensitivity open up new possibilities for interior design.

In Madama Butterfly Collection, East and West come together in a balance of compositional freedom and geometric rigour.
Surfaces evoking the warmth of birch, the softness of velvet, the porosity of cork and the irregular density of paper are punctuated by slender golden joints. These combinations invite a closer look, revealing a tactile richness capable of transforming the perception of space.

Its presence at MAXXI brings this vision into a broader dialogue on the evolution of Italian design.
At its core lies an intention that runs through Glamora’s work: to support designers in creating distinctive atmospheres with a strong sense of identity, shaping surfaces that interpret the unique character of each space.

A deep understanding of materials and a tailored approach thus become tools for translating a design vision into an experience of living.
