A domestic stage set inspired by the Eternal City

A Roman apartment designed for short-term stays reinterprets Greco-Roman classicism through a contemporary lens, combining polychrome marble surfaces, mirrored finishes, and Glamora wallcoverings.
Elegant Roman apartment living room with patterned flooring, curved furnishings and Glamora wallcoverings inspired by classical architecture.
In Rome’s San Giovanni district, , an 80-square-metre apartment has been transformed by Loto AD Project into a sophisticated residence conceived to welcome guests into an immersive and unexpected environment.
Designed by architect Giorgia Dennerlein, the project stems from the desire to create a distinctive visual identity capable of weaving together references to Greco-Roman classicism and contemporary design language without slipping into a purely didactic interpretation.

Full-height mirrors expand the perception of space between the living area and kitchen, reflecting Glamora wallcoverings with classical column motifs.
Wallcovering: Apollo
References to the ancient world run throughout the entire project:
from decorative choices to the spatial composition, from materials to proportions, every element contributes to shaping a cultured, playful and deliberately oversized visual narrative.
The apartment’s regular layout made it possible to work boldly with surfaces, achieving a striking visual impact.
The red marble flooring evokes the ancient Roman basilicas, while the large-format white marble slabs enhance the brightness of the interiors and lend the space a solemn yet contemporary aura. Full-height mirrors introduce an additional perceptual dimension, creating reflections, depth and unexpected perspectives between the living area and the kitchen.
The image reflected in the mirror reveals a dining area with Glamora wallcoverings: neoclassical vases, mythological details and geometric inlays emerge through deep green tones.

Wallcovering: Apollo
Balancing memory and contemporaneity, Glamora wallcoverings play a defining role.
The Apollo, Trigarium and Silvanus designs from the Arcadia Collection bring Corinthian columns, classical sculptures and monumental decorative vases onto the walls, transforming the architectural envelope into a scenographic setting inhabited by fragments of antiquity reinterpreted through a contemporary sensibility. The wallcovering does not merely decorate: it intensifies the guest experience, drawing visitors into the designer’s vision and making the space truly iconic.
The choice of materials and surfaces is an integral part of this narrative: marble establishes a direct connection with the city’s ancient remains, while the wallcoverings reinforce the identity of the interiors.

Niche behind the bed headboard with Glamora wallcoverings: striped and geometric patterns in Pompeian red, beige and white create a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
Wallcovering: Trigarium
Furniture with refined forms, selected from both vintage pieces and contemporary designs, adds an eclectic touch.
The two bedrooms follow the same scenographic approach: four-poster beds, positioned at a 45-degree angle in harmony with the polychrome flooring, create a dynamic and theatrical composition.
The result is a compact yet intense interior, where every choice contributes to a coherent visual experience.
A project that shows how high-end residential design can tell a precise story, transforming an apartment intended for hospitality into a place with a strong personality, capable of offering an original interpretation of the Eternal City.
