The art of well living at home

A 140 square metre single-family dwelling was transformed from a cramped flat into a space of well-being and functionality.

The refined renovation project by èdoc architects is an excellent example of how customised design can meet the needs of a modern family.
Located in Perugia, this residential solution required the complete demolition of the existing interiors to create fluid and luminous spaces, merging two independent flats located on two different floors. Natural light was maximised through the elimination of superfluous partitions and the use of bespoke filters to allow it to spread evenly throughout the house. The carefully studied artificial light offers different emotional settings for each space and need in everyday life.

The combination of different material surfaces – such as oak parquet, limestone and marble effect porcelain stoneware, natural fibre wallcoverings and custom-made furniture – helped to create a cosy and refined atmosphere evoking spaces inspired by nature.

A distinctive element of the project are the Glamora products, the protagonists of the living area and the master bedroom.
These wallcoverings, made of GlamPure material, were chosen for their exceptional insulating and heat-regulating properties. The pure European non-woven linen texture and patterns inspired by watercolour nature, such as Seika and Kokoro, enhance the spaces, creating an atmosphere of calm and refinement.

Kokoro wallcovering perfectly complements the soft, buttery tone palette of the bedroom, offering a vibrant representation of natural elements, with designs reminiscent of the lightness and beauty of watercolours.
The earthy tones and careful detailing of the flowers and leaves of the Seika subject matter add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the living room, contributing to a visual and sensory experience that is modern yet connected to nature.

Linen, combined with viscose, offers a natural and sustainable touch, in line with the project’s philosophy of well-being and living comfort.

This realisation goes beyond the concept of a simple dwelling, becoming a space where every detail is designed to enhance the quality of life.
Thanks to a completely customised design, this residence achieves a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, creating an intimate and cosy yet flexible environment that can meet current and future needs.
