Considered one of the top Italian cartoonists by the critics, Andrea Serio is an illustrator and comic book artist, taught by Mattotti. For twenty years, he has focused on the pastel and coloured pencil techniques, and his drawings have been exhibited in important national and international events. He has also created many covers for novels, magazines and records, as well as posters, children’s books and graphic novels. Since 2012 he has taught at the International Comics School, in its Turin and Florence campuses. Armed only with a pastel, his characteristic delicate stroke and unique style, Andrea can bring to life a leaf, capture the reflection of the light on snow, move the sea and make familiar landscapes seem magical.
