With its Mediterranean nature, kaleidoscopic marine hues and villas snuggled into the landscape, Capri provides this collection with its source of inspiration. The essence of the Blue Island is encapsulated in the compositions through a strong use of white (a nod to Capri’s traditional whitewashed houses), botanical elements with exquisite trompe l’oeil effects and the choice of colour palette.

The material textures of the collection draw on Capri’s panoramic scenery and gorgeous views. Bold brushstrokes evoke underwater worlds and a three-dimensional mosaic of tactile and visual sensations closely bound to the colours, scents, architecture and nature of the Mediterranean.

How the collection came about

The collection has been designed to bring the dreamy, evocative mood of Capri to bathrooms and spas in the home and hospitality sector, wellness spaces that are associated more and more with physical and mental well-being and that are able to provide moments of great calm for the practice of self-care. The Capri Collection champions a positive bond between man and the natural world. It expresses the emotion conjured up by panoramic views for as far as the eye can see, rocky coastlines and secret coves, the omnipresent sea, and the deliciously perfumed air. The collection also depicts the island’s beautiful villas, which are an essential part of the landscape.

Walls come to life with delightful views, soothing images and visual signs that encourage the mind to let go and immerse ourselves in beauty, recreating that special aura of the Capri spirit within interior spaces. A spirit that is personal and like no other.

Decorative themes, colour palette

The collection consists of 25 designs, including vertical silhouettes. Just like on the island, we find our gaze drawn high and low as we take in the detail and discover hidden delights. Sea and sky overlap, swapping roles, reflecting each other, soaking up each other’s colour. The natural elements that run through the entire collection include botanical references, spontaneous designs of foliage and flora that gently brush the surface almost as if wanting to evoke memories.

The colour palette conjures up the views of Capri, the dazzling colours, the clear-cut shadows silhouetted beneath the Mediterranean sun at its highest point. The infinite shades of the sea and the sky come together and are revealed in an array of blues, from indigo to dark sapphire. There is the earthy grey of the rocks and the green hues of the vegetation, ranging from emerald to tourmaline. But Capri is not just about nature. The colour palette of this collection also includes a burnt red to provide us with a glimpse of Villa Malaparte and the luminous white of Villa Lysis.
